Terms

These terms are written in plain English so members, visitors, producers and partners know what to expect while Celtic Roots grows.

Membership

  • Seed membership is free. It gives access to updates, open day news, producer updates and food box progress.
  • Root and Steward memberships are paid ways to support the farm and local food platform.
  • Paid membership may give priority when crops, producer supply, events or delivery spaces are limited.
  • Paid membership does not promise unlimited food, permanent availability, or a guaranteed weekly box.
  • You can manage or cancel paid membership through the billing portal where available.
  • Benefits may change as the farm and platform develop. We will communicate important changes clearly.

Food boxes and ordering

  • Food boxes are being developed carefully. Ordering opens only when crops, producer supply and logistics are ready.
  • Availability will be seasonal and limited at times. Local food is not the same as supermarket stock.
  • Orders are only confirmed once payment has completed, unless we clearly state that an item is free or RSVP-only.
  • If an item cannot be supplied, we may offer a substitute, credit, refund or another fair solution.
  • Product origins should be clear. Food may come from Celtic Roots or trusted local producers.

Events and open days

  • Event places are limited by capacity, safety and the practical running of the farm.
  • For paid events, places are confirmed once payment is complete.
  • For free events, places are confirmed when the booking or RSVP is completed.
  • Children are welcome at suitable events but must be supervised by their parent, carer or responsible adult.
  • Outdoor events may change because of weather, ground conditions, animal welfare, safety or operational needs.

Retreats and bookings

  • Retreat and yurt-style bookings are only confirmed once payment has been completed.
  • If payment is not completed, the dates should not be treated as reserved.
  • Cancellation terms are shown on the booking page. Some listings may have a no-refund window before arrival.
  • If a booking conflict or payment issue happens, we will review it and contact you as soon as possible.

Refunds and cancellations

  • If we cancel something or cannot supply what was paid for, we will offer a fair remedy such as a refund, credit or rearranged date.
  • If you cancel, the outcome depends on the type of booking, timing, and any cancellation terms shown at checkout.
  • Refunds may return to your original payment method or as account credit where appropriate.
  • If something is wrong with an order, please report it quickly so we can trace the issue and respond properly.

Producers and partners

  • Producers must provide accurate information about who they are, hygiene registration where relevant, and where produce comes from.
  • Produce must be from the producer’s own farm/garden or from trusted local producers. Non-local bought-in produce is not accepted.
  • Producer product suggestions do not go live automatically. Celtic Roots reviews listings, standards and prices first.
  • Partners can suggest workshops or events, but Celtic Roots must approve the final public event, price, capacity and booking setup.

Using the platform

  • Please use accurate account, booking and contact details.
  • Please do not misuse the platform, attempt to access admin areas, or submit false producer, booking or payment information.
  • We may update, pause or remove features while the platform is being developed and tested.
  • If something does not work, use the report a problem link or contact us directly.
