🌿 CSA + local food membership

Membership that makes local food easier

We’re creating a simple Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) model in South Wales that helps you buy local food, helps us plan crops honestly, and reduces waste across the whole system.

Based near Pendoylan, Vale of Glamorgan. Supporting local producers across Wales.

What is CSA membership?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It means members support a farm and local food network so we can plan ahead, grow with confidence, and share food fairly through the seasons.

This model is built for real life: limited time, busy families, and seasonal supply. It is not a supermarket replacement overnight. It’s a steady shift toward a local food system you can trust.

🌱 Less waste
We grow and source based on what members actually want. Less guesswork. Less oversupply.
📅 Better planning
Membership lets us plan crops, harvest and logistics in a way that stays sustainable and reliable.
🤝 Support Welsh producers
When our crops are limited, we buy in from trusted local producers so your spend still strengthens the local economy.
🧺 A simpler weekly rhythm
Clear updates, clear choices, and a predictable rhythm. Designed to reduce stress, not add to it.

How membership works

1) Join
Start free, or go straight to Root if you want benefits and to support the farm.
2) Choose seasonally
You’ll see what’s available and what’s coming, so we can plan properly.
3) Collect or deliver
We’ll grow into the best drop points and delivery routes over time.
Important: local food is seasonal. Items come and go through the year. That is part of the strength of the model.

Common questions

How does Celtic Roots Farm CSA membership work?
Start with free Seed membership for updates. Paid Root and Steward membership help fund the CSA system and give clearer access as food boxes and ordering open.
When will veg boxes open in the Vale of Glamorgan?
Food boxes are being developed now. Members will be told when ordering opens, and choices will depend on crops, local producer supply, and available delivery or collection routes.
Where will members collect or receive local food?
We are building delivery zones and drop-off points around member demand across Cowbridge, the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, RCT, Bridgend, and South Wales.
What does seasonal local food mean in practice?
Some weeks you’ll have abundance of certain crops, other weeks those items disappear. That’s normal and healthier for the land.
Can I cancel Root membership?
Yes. Root is flexible. The goal is long-term support, not pressure.
