Privacy policy
We only collect what we need to run the Celtic Roots platform, understand what is working, and communicate clearly. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
- Account details you provide, such as name and email.
- Your home postcode, used to understand local coverage, collection, delivery and member opportunities.
- Membership and billing status through our secure payment provider, if you upgrade.
- Interest list, open day, education, producer, event and booking details you submit.
- First-party visitor analytics, such as pages viewed, campaign links used, device/browser type, and a random visitor ID.
- For selected event invites, whether the email was opened (estimated) or its booking link was clicked.
- App notification preferences if you choose to enable push notifications.
- Topics you choose for your dashboard, producer follows, poll answers, and limited recent booking or viewing activity used to order those chosen topics.
- Dear Member 2046 messages, event memories or photographs you choose to submit after attending or after receiving a member invitation, including contributions you email to us and the consent choices recorded with them.
How we use it
- To run the website and keep your account secure.
- To send essential membership updates.
- To plan local delivery and collection options in future.
- To manage local capacity and understand member demand by grouped postcode district.
- To understand which pages, posts and campaigns help people join or book.
- To follow up with invited members when places are limited and planning numbers matter.
- To spot website issues and improve the customer experience.
- To show relevant events, producers and opportunities from topics you explicitly select.
- To understand demand in grouped, privacy-safe totals for programme, food and delivery planning.
Visitor analytics
We use first-party analytics to understand journeys through the site. A random visitor ID helps us see whether someone returns, what pages they looked at, and whether they later signed up. We store the ID as a hashed value in our database. It is not used for advertising resale, and we do not sell this information.
Postcodes and local demand
We keep your full postcode inside your account so we can plan local services and understand whether opportunities are relevant to your household. Admin can review it when supporting your account. Demand reports use grouped postcode districts and minimum household thresholds so individual households are not identified to producers or the public.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card details. We store payment status and references needed to manage memberships, orders, bookings, refunds and support.
